BOUNTIFUL — A man is dead following a police shooting at Viewmont High School late Tuesday night, authorities say.
Bountiful police received a call at approximately 10:27 p.m. on Tuesday of a man armed with a rifle and bow and arrow at Viemont High, Bountiful Police Lt. Dave Edwards said. After police arrived, multiple shots were fired.
It is currently unknown if police or the man shot first, how many shots were fired, or the reason why shots were fired. Bountiful police stated that both parties did fire their weapons and alleged that the man raised his gun at officers.
