For the second consecutive year, the Bountiful High softball team entered the 5A state championship game with an undefeated showing throughout the tournament. And for the second year in a row, the Braves finished second. This year, West defeated Bountiful 13-2 and 17-5 May 30 to win the title.
Farmington went 4-2 in the 5A tournament in its first year.
