FARMINGTON—Along with several other entities in the county, the Davis School District is proposing an 8.46 percent property tax increase and will host a Truth in Taxation hearing Aug. 6 during the regular school board meeting.

With the increase the district’s starting salary will be $43,800, he said. “That’s still far below some of the other districts, but we did what we could. We’re trying to stay competitive.”
